Dosing Guide: Pacing Yourself Matters More Than Potency
Responsible-use guidance for flower, edibles, and concentrates. Adults 18+.
General principles
Two principles go further than almost anything else: start low, and wait longer than you think you need to before taking more. Cannabis reacts differently across bodies, meals, and contexts, so pacing is key.
Flower and pre-rolls
A single inhalation from a joint or pipe is a good starting dose if you're new. Wait ten minutes and reassess. Most adults find that slow, measured draws paced over a session work better than a rapid series.
Edibles
We recommend beginning with 2.5–5 mg, waiting at least two hours, and only then deciding whether to add more. Onset can vary from thirty minutes to two hours. Never re-dose because you "don't feel anything yet."
Concentrates
Concentrates are potent. Begin with a rice-grain-sized dab or a short draw from a vape, wait a full minute, and only then consider a second. Use lower temperatures for a more terpene-forward, gentler experience.
When things feel too strong
Sit somewhere comfortable, sip water, eat a snack, and wait. Effects always pass. CBD can help some adults "mellow" an overly strong THC moment — many people keep our CBD Softgels or Tincture on hand for exactly this reason.
Responsibility and safety
Never drive or operate machinery after cannabis. Keep products away from minors and pets. We make no medical claims anywhere on this site.
